As related in this thread I started:

    http://www.mdshooters.com/showthread.php?t=186865

I'll be taking quite a few courses this year, probably 7 or more. I've already taken two and finally gotten the AARs up on my blog.

The first was a one-day class with Tom Sotis of AMOK! Combatives. This was the second course I took with Tom. Pretty good stuff. Class was in Chantilly, VA, and so for me on a weekend morning was about an hour and 20 minutes or less away (I live in Timonium). Fellow MDshooters members who live in VA or maybe down in Montgomery County, MD, would have an even easier drive. Tom will be back at the same venue in April for anyone who is interested, though you can train in AMOK! with Sean, the guy who runs the Silverback Academy. Here is the AAR:

This past weekend I did a one-day knife class with Greg Ellifritz of Active Response Training, also down in VA (Manassas, just a little further West on I 66, again, about 1.5 hours away from me). Great class as well, but different. Not part of a "system" more of a stand-alone class that would probably be of a lot of interest to the members here who may carry a knife daily but have never had any training. Here is the AAR:

Feel free to ask questions here.

I'll be heading back to VA in March, most likely, for a class with John Murphy of FPF Training.

    Until then....
