    For your reading pleasure:
Great AAR. Really love the use of turners and LEDs to drive home the cognitive aspect of the course. IMHO, the lack of situational dynamism is one of the weaker points of many more advanced pistol courses. How did you feel about the skill level of the rest of the class? Did it impact the class pacing? It looks like the actual shooting mechanics were not overly challenging from your pictures, but your comment that people were mag-dumping a target was kind of alarming, lol.

There were some mannequin targets that had pepper poppers inside (of different widths/sizes). If you didn't hit them just right, they wouldn't fall. So the mag dumps weren't like unsafe blazing, but just repeated, steady, and no doubt frustrated shots.

Only one person in the class (a week short of his 80th trip around the sun) really struggled with shooting and mechanics and probably shouldn't have been there. I believe we all (except perhaps him) made the initial "standard".

After some dry work, he had us shoot at his preferred minimum target, a standard sheet of paper folded in half (8.5 x 5.5). Inside of that was a 4×6 index card size target. Some of us in class, including me, were held to that smaller size. Head shots were on smaller targets of course.

As you can see, there's a lot more I could have included in the review.
