Will someone answer a question for me please , if i remember there was lots of ridicule and push back on the 2A folks to be included in speaking at this event at first until they had to include our voice . They would not have wanted our voice heard if they had their way .

Am i seeing that correctly , or am i missing something ??

Your right. They still don't want to hear our voice and we made it very obvious that was unacceptable. The"gun owners" they are talking about are panel members that have already made it known where their mindset is.
As was seen last night when they wouldn't take any comments from the observers. LOL they actually wanted to hear public comments AFTER they had presented their findings till someone pointed out that feedback from the community should be heard before the board presented their findings. Guys you can't make this stuff up.

Then if that is the case , they are now spinning it that they want to hear all points of view when in fact that could give two craps about gun owners or their opinions .

Maybe the news got it wrong or the Task Farce explained it that way to the news .

That's the way they explained it. Look at the committee and the members on it. Just about all are Democrat and anti gun. Hell one individual for mom's stated she was a former police officer and that she was in an abusive situation that only continued due to the fact their was a gun on the premises. Not sure if she was referring to her service issued weapon or not. Yep, she was against guns. SHOCKER!
In all fairness I don't know everyone's view but I assure you that the scales are tipped pretty heavily to one side.

She could have used the gun to defend herself, too. I'm not sure how to feel about a police officer, who presumably knows the laws against domestic abuse, and knows how to use a gun to defend herself against a threat who stays in an abusive relationship. She can blame the gun, but I'm not buying it.

There are plenty of police who are anti-gun, especially those in larger cities who are higher up

Oh, I know that. I'm just commenting on her staying in an abusive relationship because there was a gun in the house. That makes no sense.

Many of them (anti-gun cops) think they are better trained and better all around and know what is best for civilians .

Does not apply to the MDS members here retired or active duty .

Yeah, I believe through all their investigations, their report will state - The only way to STOP gun violence is to REMOVE all guns! This can be written on one page.

Another thing I am finding is that their are multiple groups also talking about picketing. I'll stop there, Fight Club/H2O chiller.

I know my posts are not up to par for some

but, would a compromise be to ask that all are held to the same standard in regards to the new gun laws. Could change some minds and not a popular topic here..

CBS Baltimore's story is up. Reporter Rachel Menitoff lets the truth slip out at the 0:14 mark in the video -

"Rick and Vic, they've created a Gun Prevention Task Force ..."

    I knew it!

(gotta figure out how to download a copy ...)
LOL! I was watching last night and had to do a rewind when she said that. From the mouth of babes....

No you cant. Furthermore, at the July 18th meeting, they seriously discussed the idea of having NO public comment. How can that even be possible. Government of, by, and for the people? I guess they all missed that day in grade school......

And after all the hubbub created about this meeting, im surprised that not one single Demanding Mommy showed up in uniform to sit in the gallery, or to testify. Heck, after limiting public comment to just 16 minutes, they had time left over.

The lack of presence of the well-intentioned but misguided Mommies says to me one thing: they know they dont need to bother to show because the forthcoming "recommendations" of the task force are a foregone conclusion. Prove me wrong.

Amusingly, WJZ's coverage includes a shot of scary gun-violence pistols ... which all appear to be airguns (unless you can buy a FULL AUTO! broomhandle Mauser pistol for $125, or a blister-pack SIG 226 for $29.)

Or am I just shopping the wrong gunshows?

They said at the meeting that some of the task force members own guns. That is also mentioned in the news report.

I bet the truth is, that if there ate guns in the house, they probably belong to come one else.

I'd like to see them answer questions under penalty of perjury, do you have a gun, what make and model, when did you buy, and do you have an HQL.

Typical banana republic reaction to the prospect of an opposing viewpoint. I also noticed that the video was edited to make the participants appear relatively unbiased. :lol2:

FIFY. I doubt she owns a gun now.
