Guy wants to get guns out of the community. Says guys get arrested 3 to 11 times before they get into gun violence.

Caused by drug market. They mentions something about non violent drug crimes. When non violent drug offenders get arrested, and are young, then agrees to give three contacts to go find and get weapons to turn in. Need to provide a receipt to gun store or prosecutor.

Arrested that many times just means that’s the number of times they’ve been caught. Surely they’ve been up to no good before and between the arrests? Perhaps they should look at the community and family issues first? Oops, that makes sense

So, to stop you from stealing guns, go out and get stolen guns to turn in. Help me! I am floored.

Somebody tell me I'm hearing this wrong.

Anyone know how many FFLs are in Baltimore City?

Police go get gun from gun dealer. Are gun dealers going to cooperate. Do you want criminals coming into your store who don't know how to handle guns.

    This sounds stupid.

Enter your name, address, and credit card number. Take a photo of the gun. Then go drop it off at a dealer.

    Sounds like a plan.

    Is this working anywhere?!

Reserved for screen shots of this goofy process: $99 per gun.

Like a bad movie. They give thugs 48 hours amnesty from jail to go get the gun they used in a crime if I have this right: For 2 Benjamin’s

I am beginning to think that Maryland is becoming more stupid than California. Yea I know, hard to believe.
Why doesn't someone bring to their attention that they are wasting a lot of money for a sub section of criminal activity that only accounts for less than 20% of the deaths in total violence. Am I missing something here?

Has anyone suggested that (gasp) gun offenders be locked up for the entirety of the maximum sentence? Seems like a lot of resources are being wasted on “task forces” like this that could go into the penal system

Regarding AOB' s post. It reminds of the scene in the day the earth stood still. The newer movie. They are talking about aliens being smart and why they haven't tried to communicate with people on Earth. Then there is a quote something like humans are smarter than cockroaches, but have you ever tried to communicate with one. This group is clearly the cockroaches.

Public comment on the agenda isn't actually for the public to talk, but to determine whether or not the public can participate.

Seems to be recommending a whole meeting for public comment or just a dedicated period in the meeting.
