Out of curiousity I checked MD's DNR site, the record for one in the Chesapeake is 67 lbs 8 oz. set in 1995

The hybrid fish are not the same as the salt water variety. Close but not the same.

I had Devin out on my boat a short time before he caught the Md. record rock... I worked with his Dad who passed away a few years ago. That fish was actually heavier, but by the time they got it to the official weigh-in... it had dehydrated a bit.

Striper is a striper, whether in the bay or land locked, and a hybrid is hybrid, assuming the same cross.
