Ends up being about 66cents a round after shipping (If you dont have a Cabela's Visa). Prices are coming down. Be patient.

Thanks, grabbed 5 boxes. It came out to $13.18 a box but I don't mind since most places around me are charging $12-15 and I'd have to waste time driving, hoping they'd be in stock which in most cases they're not.

Thanks for the welcome and glad you guys thought the deal was worth posting.

I ordered an M&P-15 earlier this month but my FFL told me he's seeing about a 2 mo backlog on the paperwork so it'll be June/July before I get to put some holes in some paper. I hope the prices and availability are sorted out by then!

It's getting better, but I doubt it will be back to normal in two months. Depends on how much more federal legislation we see. My first AR was/is an M&P 15, it's an excellent firearm. I've already customized it quite a bit, you'll enjoy it.

I'm sure you're right. I'm taking the recent failure of the Senate bill as a good sign.

Thanks, I've been wanting an AR for a few years and did a lot of research. The S&W was on the short list and a good deal made the purchase a no-brainer. Glad your experience with it echoes everything else I've read.

bought these at bass pro for $9.99 a box... the principal of that wont like me pay 10.99 for them now plus shipping...lol

Calculate your cost of time + gas + wear and tear (U.S. government rate is .50 a mile) and you might be actually saving some money on this deal (well, paying less than what it cost you at BP).

Thanks for the heads up, OP!
