Though I prefer the traditional wooden stock, my Mosin is far from stock. It's an exercise in Finn design and Russian sniper tricks, and shoots like it! Shims, very improved two-stage trigger (copied and modified M39-style that uses needle bearings instead of static pins), oiled cork to damp the barrel harmonics, and a few other goodies.
I've always enjoyed "sleepers" though, whether they be cars or guns...
