.40 S&W Bore lock near Cumberland

As I understand it I have to have a bore lock to take the baby home from the dealer? Anyone near Cumberland that has one I can borrow? Rather buy a box of bullets instead of a lock I won't use

How does this work? Probably over a year or so ago, I bought a ruger and it came with a long hasp lock and a screw thingy resembling a shell case. Likely aka bore lock? More recently I bought a glock that only came with a cable lock. Does that count as a bore lock? I'm guessing this comes from the long ago attempt to require disabling locks built into the guns frame.

What did you buy? My XD came with this cable lock:

Are you sure that your pistol won't come with one? If you need to borrow one I could mail you mine. I'm in MD but nowhere near Cumberland.
