Attempting to hit the easy button, I'll admit, but would anyone have recommendations for a dedicated 350 legend suppressor? The omega suppressors seem pretty popular and I've had the rugged obsidian 9 reccomended but to be honest there's a ton of options and I haven't done enough research, so wondering if anyone has different can preferences? (Also hoping there might be some sort of black Friday sale to take advantage of next week)

I'll get different cans for my 22lr, 300 win mag, 5.56, and 9mm eventually ,(in that order) so a multi caliber can might have some merit, but realistically I won't be moving a can from gun to gun, so even a hybrid/multi caliber can would stay on the same gun for now.

Obsidian 9 is a great can and easy to clean. Both Rugged and Griffin make taper mounts for it so it won't loosen up like a direct mount will. Additionally, you can use it on pistols as well.

    Where they send me.
Are you looking to shoot only subsonics out of it or supers also? Barrel length? I ask as cans have limits.

I would likely go with a 45 cal can, I know you think you won't move it around but good to have that option and cover 45 down as needed.

if you buy from Silencer Shop, the Rugged Alaskan 360 is on sale for $830 and they’re throwing in the tax stamp. It’s a lightweight multi-can, that has no barrel length restrictions and can handle anything under .360 caliber, including 300 Remington ultra mag or 338 lapua magnum

Plus $249 if you want to use the rugged taper mount or some other compatible mount. O/W it's a direct thread.

I already have an Obsidian 45 which does work for 350 Legend. The Alaskan 360 is o/w not a bad way to roll.
I also have an obsidian 45 and I have a question

Do I install it on my bolt action rifle like I would on my semi auto pistol ?

Meaning I have a couple direct thread mounts that came with it as a package but I believe it came with a piston to put it on my semi auto pistol. So do i remove the piston and attach the 1/2”x 29 direct thread without the piston inside?

Yes - remove the piston. You might need a spacer. I am actually going to check.

No, you must put a spacer in place of the spring. You can buy one from Rugged or make your own from a piece of copper tubing. I did mine quiet a while ago but I imagine if you google something like make your own obsidian spacer, you may find it. Theirs cost about $45 I believe. I made mine for about $5 and it works just fine.

I see the spacer on silencer shop for $40 and I am sure there’s shipping

What size copper pipe did you use? How did you get the correct length?

    Thanks for the info

But yes if you use the piston and remove the spring you need a spacer
I saw your picture in the post before

I have the fixed mount so I am gonna figure out getting the spacer asap

I also should look in my safes in case I have one but there’s just so much stuff I have bought over the years. I would have thought I would have asked and bought one when I bought the can and end caps but I don’t remember if I did or even if I would have asked or known to.

I really appreciate your help and information!!!
