30 day purchasing question

I purchased an ar the first week of april. I an about 40 days in my wait. I am interested in purchasing a pistol. Should I wait until my not disapproved comes back from the first purchase before making this one, or will I be ok to make the second purchase now. Is the rule simply that there has to be 30 days between receiving regulated firearms?

Same question... my FFL says it's 30 days from picking up the other gun. Which would mean I couldn't make another purchase until probably sometime in August. I've seen others post that it's 30 days between pickups but you can have more than on in the 60+ day backlog at a time. I'd like clarification.

Also I'd like to know what happens if I purchase something and submit paperwork but it doesn't come back ND until after 10/1.
