    Qualified Immunity.
QA doesn't exist for retired officers. QA no longer exists for most police in MD since the Police Bill of Rights was repealed.

LE Agencies "might" offer a letter from the Chief stating that the employing agency is "self insured."

There are some policies out there, but it's an open question on whether they will meet the bill's exact requirements.

Lockton Affinity has a personal firearm liability policy, and for years used to partner with the NRA before the Carry Guard thing appeared. Pricing is by coverage, and coverage goes from $250K up to $1.5M.

A sample MD policy declaration is here.

The accidental injury coverage is pretty basic, and specifically says it is for "accidental injury," but the policy does automatically include self-defense coverage. As you might expect, the accident coverage has some significant exclusions (i.e., excludes "a loaded firearm being transported in an automobile, watercraft or aircraft" (um, what counts as "transporting" vs "carrying?"); excludes coverage during the act of loading/unloading the firearm "except while engaged in hunting, trapping or shooting at competitions or for recreation at hunt clubs, gun clubs or ranges").

    I thought this was funny.

Unfortunate picture of one of the state enthusiast who introduced this bill.

I can say, with a certain degree of authority that, that guy looks ready to sell everyone mandated insurance coverage! :lol2:
I wonder how many of these ally type folks are just nefarious and are doing what they do for the poom poom, the money, or both.

Think about how dirty of a trick some of the boys played when they have women being so into supporting abortion. Does anyone actually enjoy wearing a condom?

The picture is no more unfortunate than the name; Joey Conwell? Really?

Perhaps he supports truth in advertising.

This was just published on WJLA web site.

"Introduced by Del. Terri Hill, D-Howard County, the legislation would prohibit the “wear or carry” of a gun anywhere in the state unless the individual has obtained a liability insurance policy of at least $300,000."

"As the bill is currently written, local and state law enforcement officers are not exempt from the insurance requirement."

"Speaking to FOX45 News over the phone, Maryland Fraternal Order of Police President Clyde Boatwright stressed the importance of making sure state and local law enforcement have the same protections as federal officers.

"We would appreciate if our Maryland law enforcement officers received the same rights as federal officers," Boatwright said. "If our federal partners are exempt, state and local officers should be afforded that same right."

But citizens can go screw themselves. FN Coppers!

We know they will be exempted after amending. We are always the screwed ones. Any way to make us not want to exercise our rights. F the MGA.

I carry uninsured motorist coverage. Will uninsured gunist coverage be a thing? These "people" are off their collective rocker.
