You can use any mags you want, you just can't purchase or sell anything higher than 20 rounds in MD.

I already have one 20 for bench shooting and am bringing a whole bunch of traditional capacity magazines with me when I come back to MD.

These are great if you live in MD, and for whatever reason cannot acquire magazines out of state right now (20 is better than 10 when the mag costs about the same).
