If you plan on shooting past 100 yards, your going to want atleast 12x. I have a 6x18, i can see holes @ 100, but @ 200 its hard to see holes even with shootn c's.

I think I'd jump on that joebob deal, I don't have anything to mount it on, and I am thinking about getting 1.

I got lucky and a friend had a decent 6x18 he didn't need anymore and got it for $100. I'm still thinking about the deal from joebob for a 10/22 build I'm doing in the very near future
