So how is the Left going to spin this? If that 12 year old didn't have the weapon the 73 years and him might be dead.

    :

You underestimate the stupidity of mass media consumers AND the ability of spinmeisters to turn a good thing bad and vice versa.

    "12 y/o murders underprivileged"
"How did he have access to the gun?"
"73 year olds charged because they encouraged 12 year old to use gun"
"12 year old knew how to use gun, this is what is wrong with America"

    etc, etc, etc

I like the fact that the grandma was saved but my investigative mind has some questions. According to the story, these guys bust in and then shoot the grandma. The 12 year old then returns fire. Does this mean a 12 yo was carrying a pistol?

It maybe that the news is not giving us all the facts as they have in the past. That said, this is a bit different that an 18 yo who runs to get a AR to defend his house. Now, it could be he reached under the couch and pulled out grandma's piece but then you still have a firearm available to a child.

I guess we will have to wait for "the rest of the story".

12-year-old shoots intruder, killing him during armed robbery at N.C. apartment, police say

Heros of the left retreat due to superior skills of a 12 year old.

I wonder if this had happened in MoCo or Baltimore County if Grandma would now be in prison and the 12 year old in an orphanage. Meanwhile, the crooks get free housing and they sue Grandma.

Thank God for that! Firearms have been "available" to children for hundreds of years. Not all children are unsafe dumb asses

    This ^^^^^^^^

My Dad kept a loaded handgun in his night stand.

I also knew that any time I wanted to touch and handle it, I could ask. And he would unload it and let me handle it while supervised.

I also knew, I would not be able to sit down for a week, plus I would NEVER get to handle it again, if I touched it without him there to supervise.

    I survived

Freedom has certain inherent risks and responsibilities. The vocal minority is driving our society to punish everyone for the irresponsible actions of a few [dumbasses.]

When the Covid panic really ramped up early last year, with hoarding, then the riots, my daughter got really scared to stay at home alone. I let her know where the invasion repellent was kept, and I trust her with that. My son, not yet.
