Working on loading for my M1883 Reichsrevolver. I have a few original rounds to go off of. They originally used a .430 260gr heeled bullet. I was able to find .430 250gr round nose bullet. I figure it's close enough. I'm using 44 russian brass and 16gr of fff goex black powder. I'm going to take a trip to continental this weekend to test them out. Has anyone loaded for this before? Any advice?

Wear eye protection. Very interested in how your reloads perform.

They preformed better then I thought! I loaded some more but decided to see how American Pioneer Powder will do. I have BP loads and APP loads to compare.
Will be interested to hear your comparison. My experience in comparing BP to APP in my long guns is you need quite a bit more APP to match the BP power.

I ended up bumping the load to 20gr of APP and it did much better. Clean up was much easier with APP too.
