      FFL recommendation for transfers

Long ago I used a guy up in Sykesville who I really liked, but he stopped doing them. I just want someone near Jessup that only charges $30-$50 for handgun transfers. 2A Sales might fit the bill; headed in there tomorrow. Extra points for a good shop with good customer service and gunsmithing...

      Sale of Shorgun (transfer)

Hello, I'm new to Maryland. I own a shotgun and found another Maryland resident who wants to buy it. Is a person to person transfer legal? What paperwork do I need or does this need to happen at a local gun shop? Thanks in advance. Boats

I know this thread has come up before, but the information in it is either very dated or the thread is just a mess after the first page. Admins- please delete if you feel i'm kicking a dead horse. I am trying to get some clear answers on how MD law views transferring of an HBAR in 5.56/.223...

KY resident giving firearms to MD resident father.

Hello from Kentucky! I’m leaving for basic training in a couple of months and I’ve decided to give my firearms to my father, a Maryland resident who doesn’t currently own any guns, before I go. I’ve been reading up on the laws in Maryland but I’ve still got a few questions so I can make sure...

Father in-law died - how to transfer his firearms to Louisiana

Sadly, my father-in-law died recently and the family is trying to give me his firearm collection. I live in Louisiana. I called the MD state police and they stated that the guns have to be shipped from an FFL in MD to an FFL in LA. My understanding of Federal Law is that a private individual...

      Handgun transferring Question

Hey guys,(already did my intro) I got a question about transferring a handgun. So when I turned 21(in North Carolina) I traded my remington 700 Varmint for a Colt Gold Cup National Match from the original Owner. It was a gentlemans agreement and we didn't transfer any paperwork. And now I...

MD Gun lover trying to buy outside PRMD

Hello everyone. I am new to this forum, but I am not new to guns! The Peoples Republic of MD of course restricts magazine capacity to 10... and I would rather not buy a new gun with 10 round stock magazines. This may be a stupid question (and other may have posted already), but can I go to the...

Questions on transferring ownership of AK

Okay, so someone is selling there ak and wants to transfer ownership through an FFL, but i'm pretty sure you can not transfer ownership of a banned weapon or even sell one. Am I right or should I go ahead and get this AK. Don't want to do anything illegal, help is needed!

      Transfering a colt LE AR15

Hey guys, my dad has a Colt Law Enforcement carbine that he does not want any more and his local FFA told him that he could not transfer because it is classed as an assault weapon and a transfer is treated the same as a sale in MD. Is there anything we can do to make this gun transferable?

      Stripped lower

Does a stripped AR lower need FFL transfer and MD registration? Or MD registration after I assemble internals? I intend to assemble an SBR on a Colt M4 or other decent quality lower after NFA paper clears.

      Current Transfer Fees

I'm looking for a couple different semi-auto handguns and having trouble finding them in MD. However, I've been able to find reasonable prices and in-stock guns in PA, and there's always the fall back of buying online. I'm buying now because I really don't feel like having to be fingerprinted...
