The highlighted part is ILLEGAL. If you picked them up from an FFL within Maryland's borders, you both have committed a crime.
As the law is written, taking possession in Maryland is illegal. A gray area would be checked luggage at an airport- even though you bought the magazine(s) out of state. I mention this because you would be taking possession from the airline while in Maryland.
Keep it simple (and legal) by buying them in PA, DE, VA or WV and bringing them back to Maryland with you.

Re-read what he wrote, the FFL he is talking about is in PA or VA, not in MD.

If there's aban there will be no grandfather clause. It would be impossible to determine whether a magazine was purchased before or after.

    Nah.

They could just do what they did last time, which is to start marking all newly produced magazines "not for use by the peasants" like they did during the '94 - 04 Federal AWB.

Of course, all of this is totally dependent on the wording of any bill that would do this - it could be an outright possession ban, it could be a transfer and sale ban, it could be like the 94 - 04 ban, who knows. It's all theoretical anyhow.

We already have a transfer and sale ban.

    Right, on the state level.

I had forgotten this was a state discussion thread, and thought that the talk had shifted to a Federal ban in there somewhere.

Either way, it will be impossible to enforce, and just like New York and other places that have done this, people will just keep their hicap mags at home.

I meant to post this the other day.

Multiple cops, 1 suspect, 65 shots at the suspect. Several vs 1 and they had to use more than 8 or 10.

I would love to take the MGA to a indoor training range and give them 10 rounds of simunition and run a 5 minute scenario against 2 assailants. 10 rounds to defend yourself under pressure for 5 minutes to simulate a call to the police. Go back and run the numbers to see how many were successful and how many were killed because they ran out of ammo. Most likely a 100% failure rate.

These are the reason for mags that can provide suppression fire. The Gov'ment knows the weapon caches are already in this country
