I’m glad you are happy. I was not transferring my unhappiness with my IHC Garand onto you and yours. I am in the minority of people who don’t really get excited about Garands. I know that prices are climbing and that you can’t get one cheaper than at the CMP, but I just think that $1,060 is a lot for an IHC receiver. Just my opinion. If I had gotten what my brother got - everything (including stock) IHC except for an LMR barrel and an SA trigger group, I would be singing a different tune.

That is the one you display right next to a conventional M1 Garand and ask which of these should be banned? Functionally the same but one looks scary.

Took my new IHC to TMGN tonight. I hadn’t shot a Garand in so long I forgot how to load it, lol. After they showed me how to properly insert the clips, I had a blast with it!!! Even though I felt like a moron

Took my new IHC to TMGN tonight. I hadn’t shot a Garand in so long I forgot how to load it, lol. After they showed me how to properly insert the clips, I had a blast with it!!! Even though I felt like a moron

I guess I had the clips a little too forward and they kept getting stuck halfway. When you insert them just right they sort of magically click into place.
Good thing no Nazis were closing in on me!

If the rounds are a little forward in the clip, it can hang up. That's why GIs would sometimes bash the clip, bullet points first, into the stock, leaving those little patterns of marks you see on some old stocks.
I learned to keep an second "emergency reload" clip by my single reload clip when shooting the rapid fire stages in competitions. You reload on the clock, so it's "grab that clip and jam it in!" Sometimes the clip would hang up, and I'd just grab my emergency clip.

FedEx just left, i think I got a pretty good Springfield. 6 digit serial, all Springer parts except WRA op rod. Nice condition overall, has CMP stock. The barrel has “NM” stamped on it, is that national match?

Super win for you. Yes NM is national match. Also the opp rod is worth a few hundred by its self. Looks like you scored huge.
Also is there any engraving on the other side of the receiver legs?
