google is your friend, I am not.
This has always been a theme from the left.

Its a talking point that assumes you can not do deductive logic: If there are only three gun dealers in the country, one of them sells more guns than the other that end up in crime. Even if its two guns. Shut that dealer down, then you have two dealers. Then repeat until there are no gun dealers.

80% of crime guns are obtained illegally.

FFLS cannot stop mentally ill violent people from buying guns unless they are flagged in NICS. cue the red flag brigade.

I did see ATF is getting about a 15% budget increase this year. Hopefully that goes to clearing form 4s faster and or finding an electronic form 4 system.

Never a good idea to underfund agencies. They do have a job to do and underfunding them makes sure that job done badly or SLOWLY and that almost always screws us.

So “up in Arms” gun shop sells a gun to a perfectly qualified buyer. He takes it home. Gets burgled and has the gun stolen. Files a police report. Burglar uses the gun in a crime. Therefore the gun shop is responsible and should be shutdown. Yea, makes perfect sense....in a twisted world!

What I read in this article too is about congress and Tiahrt Amendment.

The Tiahrt Amendment is a provision of the U.S. Department of Justice appropriations bill that prohibits the National Tracing Center of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) from releasing information from its firearms trace database to anyone other than a law enforcement agency
