I think dealers should rent out locks for 3 bucks a use. If all that is needed is to walk out the door with one, just drop it in a box they have outside as you exit. :)

Looking to trade .40cal and .380 caliber locks for .38 and .357 locks. I have the .40 and .380 locks. I live in the Arundel Mills mall area.

My 9mm lock is available again should anyone need it in the eastern baltimore county area.

Crap. Wish I would have checked this thread before heading to Glen Burnie this morning...:o

Assuming you have a bore lock, I wonder if I have it in hand, if Scott's Gunsmithing would refund me the $25 I just paid for a brand new bore lock I'll never take out of the package???

What is baffling to me is that I just picked up a brand new Springfield XD-9 two days ago from another IP, and while it came with the factory provided cable lock, today I was told, by Scott's people, that this was not legal, and the gun should have not been released to me without a bore lock?

The one (9mm) I bought this morning, is USED...

Omega markets different bore locks for a 9mm vs 38/357
Frazen has one model to fit both. Will an Omega 9 fit in a 357?

I just tried my 9mm lock in my .38 revolver. I don't know how it's supposed to work if the cylinder is supposed to be closed, but with the cylinder open you can lock the barrel(the "shell" won't go into the barrel). Don't know if that's good enough or not. Would probably depend on the ffl's opinion unless MSP mandates caliber specific lock.

I have a 7.62x39 omega lock to pass along to someone in need, pm me.

I'll edit post when no longer available.

Edit: The lock has been passed on, itself becoming the proverbial "Hot Potato".
