Hello, new guy from VA that will be moving to Brunswick shortly.

Been into guns since the 50ties. Was in the military twice, 69 to 72 and 79 to 82. Also was in law enforcement for some years.

Looking forward to posting here. Looks like a good bunch of people.

    Welcome Aboard!!!!

But.....OK, I'll bite. I've been to Brunswick (my son ended his Hiking Merit Badge hike on the C&O there), and I could pretty much throw a baseball across the river into VA, why the hell would anyone move to MD from VA and stay that close???

Beautiful area, but I'd stay on the other side of the river in Real America!!!

    Welcome !

But Mack C-85 raises a good point . As nice a small town Brunswick may be , It is literally 1 minute away from Virginia .

We sometimes have incomers who have to deal with commute times to jobs in central Maryland , or proximity to relatives that require proximity . But Brunswick doesn't provide any geographic advantages compared to somewhere such as Luckettsvile .

    Guys: Thanks for the welcomes.

It is a long story about the move, but I really had no choice. Brunswick seems to be a nice place. If I have to, I can swim back to freedom. Or just walk across the bridge.

Welcome from Frederick. I like Brunswick. It still has that off-the-beaten-path, small-town feel to it that Frederick sacrificed a long time ago.
