Hi! I finally convinced the wife that guns are fun, and more guns are more fun, so it's time to stop lurking and start posting.

I started browsing these forums in 2012 when "good and substantial reason" looked to be down for the count.

I'm a software engineer, I brew beer, and I shoot at AGC.

Also, just to prompt the inevitable: swinokur, I'm already a sustaining member of MSI. Yay!

The Dundalk show tomorrow is going to be my first gun show ever! I've read plenty of stuff about what to expect, but is there any advice y'all can give to a newbie?

To stop by Blue Fins table and say hi!. Also at any and all gun shows, bring cash for best prices. It's a lot harder to say no to a wad of bills than it is to a piece of plastic.

    Happy New Rifle Day, Me

Also, today is new gun day! Yay! I picked up a CZ 455 Ultra Lux in .22LR from 2A this afternoon. So much sight radius.

Welcome from an old former Howard County boy.
Why I kin remember when the "city" of Clarksville was just a school and old Kendall's store. Used to hike across the fields or ride my bike there (to the store) and buy 22LR for about $.75 a box. I would tromp through the woods on all day plinking expeditions. I well remember when I found out about them building the new city of Columbia: I had just crossed the Little Patuxent River, came up a hill and stepped out of the woods onto a golf course. What a waste of some fine woodland. When I told my folks, they said I couldn't go back there shootin' anymore. I think that's when my world stated to go downhill.
Anyways, welcome and thanks for the trip down memory lane.
