I just wanted to introduce myself to those who don't know me, as I know some of you have followed my litigation in Pennsylvania. I am Joshua Prince and was recently admitted to the MD Bar. While I have an unusual area of practice - firearms law at the state and federal level (including some international issues regarding import/export of firearms and ammunition) - after being somewhat successful in PA, I was looking for a new challenge and elected to take the MD bar exam, so that I could start litigating MD state law issues.
For those who don't know anything about me, some cases that I handled recently include: successfully arguing that an individual may lawfully possess a weapon on school property, provided it is for a lawful purpose (i.e. not an unlawful purpose); establishing that the use of un-enveloped postcards reflecting license to carry firearms applicant information violates state law; a $1.425 million dollar settlement, when Philadelphia disclosed license to carry applicant information; and successfully establishing a right to bring a Second Amendment As-Applied challenge in relation to a mental health commitment.
I look forward to working with all of you and turning the tide in MD back to what our Founding Fathers intended.
