Usually just lurk around forums and learn a lot but decided that I would probably benefit greatly by actually introducing myself. I've lived in MD since the sixties and have slowly been chased further and further south till i've run out of land.I'm retired Teamster and have been messing around with firearms since I was in the Boy Scouts. I'm 60 now and decided that I need a hobby to keep me busy. Wife retired last year........need I say more. Just kidding, she took the Utah concealed carry class with me and has decided that she wants to learn more. She does her HQL tomorrow and I'm fortunate that I live where we can shoot out of of our back porch. After taking the usual required classes I have realized that we could benefit greatly by joining a gun club and learning from the other members ,not to mention the new friends I'm sure we will make. We have a few guns and the required couple of shotguns you need down here but I want my bride to feel confident and secure in her handling of our firearms, therefore our next objective is to take a few classes in gun handling and of course practice.Funny how as you get older you realize how vulnerable you are. Last time the Police were summoned down here it only took them 45 minutes to show up.Need I say more? Anyway looking forward to interacting with the fine folks here and being able to pick your minds and get some guidance on what firearms work better in different situations .So from Southern Maryland ...Hi!!
