SCAR-H i really want one bc i like what ive seen and want a .308. Doesnt do much since it like all my other firearms only punch paper. The mags are expensive and hard to find. The crazy price just makes it a rifle out of my reach. Even if i had the money, im sure theres something else i should out it towards...

Back in the late 50s the US government aka CIA set up shell companies to import surplus Mausers from Germany and sporterized them for sale on the American market for ‘hunting purposes’. The profit of the sales funded US government endeavors like Bay of Pigs.

I have one of those rifles and no reason to shoot it. They (the gov) did put a really nice stock on it and chambered it for 30.06.

Maybe I have a zero point to own this rifle, but it speaks to me.

I'm okay with this idea. Maybe not so much the sporterized part, but still.

I like it when the gov't has to work to earn their money, and the CIA is very entrepreneurial. A shame they had to go invent Crack....

I guess a cheap black stock wouldn't hurt, as long as the barrel isn't too heavy :)

That and Air America ... yeah, sure, nobody knew why all those military guys were getting flight discounts ... and I guess mail did have to be delivered to every hillside and mountain top in Laos ;)
