While this is true, it has a much deeper meaning. It means that Maryland is a lost cause and all we can hope to do is slow the decline a little.

Not necessarily. It can also mean we are making baby steps forward.

Good point, Hopefully the looney left is not so blind by hate that they can't see how well things are going under Hogan in general for the state (much better than OweMalley) but i am not sure. I don't think they can see how much better we are doing under Trump despite the avalanche of evidence.

Elect b jealous and after new taxes you won’t have any disposable income left to buy ammunition let alone guns. How do yo7 think he will pa6 for the 13 mile, $billion red line?
And that will be okay because he and the dem legislature will make it damn hard to buy anything arms-wise in this state. By the time the courts have a chance to fix it, a decade will pass.
Some may not like hogan but choice-wise there 8s no comparrison.

Please explain how Hogan will prevent tax increases...I'm interested to know how his veto will not be overturned...

This right here is the shit that pisses me off.

Those who are all high and mighty, tossing in their own version of virtue signaling, explicitly and implicitly saying that those of use who have made a hard choice about supporting Hogan have no principles.

    Well, screw that.

You are welcome to use your vote however you want, including not using it. That is your right. But when you tell me that I have no principles simply because you disagree with my vote, then you cross a line.

Obviously, the liberals do not have a lock on ignoring objective reality when it comes to acting on the emotions that their butthurt generates.

I'm not saying you have no principles because I disagree with your vote..I'm saying you have no principles because you're going to support someone who has taken away your rights...You can vote for whomever you wish...just keep in mind that if you vote for someone who is willing to deny you a right that you claim to support you have no principles...Go ahead and vote your rights away....just don't come on here crying when he strips even more...

    Hogan or Jealous?

I'm still obsessing on why that waitress from Mission BBQ the night of the 'more patriots than handcuffs' event, who seemed so gung-ho to join MDS (as Gunny Ballerina), and MSI, has completely given the high-hat to both me, and KC Day.

Soooooo, if/when I next see her, chloroform, or ether .......

Well if Hogan is elected it sends a message that the citizens of this state do not care for the left's proposal to increase taxes. Especially for project as mention in this thread.

Can we just ban these threads?

We get it. There's a handfull of folks here that refuse to vote or support Govenor Hogan based on one political viewpoint. It is not worth anyones time trying to convince them they are wrong. They've already set logic aside.

Yes it would be great if Govenor Hogan was more "Pro 2A". Vote for a Socialist because you can't get a CCW permit. Sleep easy with your morales.

This, it’s not rocket science... Those who can’t understand this, do not believe in or understand reality...:sad20:

Holy shyte that’s the exact sentence my 38 year old professional college student anti gun liberal cousin said to me about banning all guns and knives!!

She said that right after she told me George Washington only asked people to have guns to fight the Indians not the British, smh

There's a difference to 'not supporting' vs. 'not voting for'.

And that's likely why so many of the more vocal people are so pissed off. They KNOW that when the time comes, they'll have to decide between H or J, and it'll begrudgingly be a vote for H.

But until that time, they can vent and get some of it out of their system.

WRONG but thanks for playing..Myself and thousands like me will not be compromising our support for the 2nd amendment.

This is an easy decision for me to make. My principles are to vote for the most Conservative person in the race, even if neither is a text book Conservative. Hogan may not be a social Conservative, but he is a fiscal hawk; Jealous is a communist across the board.

    My conscience is clear.

And here is our problem. Just because people don't share your view doesn't mean they aren't standing by their principles. Using your vote to block something worse also seems like a reasonable strategy. Just because it is not your strategy doesn't make it wrong and doesn't make that person weak on 2A. I don't think anyone here is under any illusion that Hogan is good for the 2A community. Of course, YOUR "principles" are much more likely to give us Jealous, who will be orders of magnitude worse than Hogan. You are far too quick to condemn people. It seems your reasoning occurs on only the most superficial level.

How do Marylanders break the cycle of voting for the lesser of two evils? The lesser is still bad and every year Maryland gets worse, not better.

Let's make it clear that we are, in fact, in Maryland. This isn't TX, TN or any other free State. People who are holding out for a strong Pro-2A Governor are delusional. Having a 2 term Republican Governor would be a baby step toward improvement. It can't and won't happen overnight. We are currently ruled by 3 counties. 3 counties which are absurdly liberal. Most of us live elsewhere and are somewhat sheltered from the foolishness people in those counties believe. Change happens incrementally. OTOH, any parts of our Rights we lose are not easily won back. I don't want any part of "principles" that put a man like Ben Jealous in the Governor's Mansion.
