Just picked up my new M&P tonight. Went through the gun, cleaned it. The only thing is the slide lock is hard to push down. I have to pull the slide back and then push the slide lock down in order to release the slide. I'm hoping that will break in with time. It looks to me like a little bit of sandpaper will clean that area up, but I'll give it a few hundred rounds Other than that, she is a beauty. I'm glad I went with the M&P. Once I make it to the range I'll report back in, until then I need to prepare for this hurricane.

I'm really tempted to get an M&P9c now. I've stuck with full-size steel-framed handguns up until now, but recent experience involving a lady has convinced me that I need a lighter pistol in my line-up, if only to give my guests something they can shoot well.
