    I am pretty well convinced that Morgan is a masochist. He continues to parade pro-gun guests in front of him who repeatedly make him look like the horse's ass he is in coherent, calm, rational ways (as opposed to his condescending, arrogant, abusive and non-hearing manner) and yet he keeps inviting more to come on his show.

    During this particular interview, Morgan actually looks like he's in pain when he is speaking. Apparently, CNN must have some masochist in it too since they continue to allow this buffoon to show his ignorance with the obsessive-compulsive campaign he is on.

    I watched the full interview. I HATE Piers and his interruptions. Someone with balls needs to say "LOOK limey, you keep interjecting and this interview is over". I woulda walked out if he kept talking over me.

    It's because his ratings are in the tank... in fact, he has the lowest prime-time ratings of any cable news program in years.

    This gun issue is the one item that has gotten people to turn in and watch.

    Piers just comes across like such an ass. I WISH we were able to see a Newt-Obama debate.. if people think Romney beat up Obama in the first debates, can you imagine what Newt woud have done?

    Gingrich kind of set himself up with saying automatic weapons are banned. False, only importation and manufacturing are banned. Possession and transfer(through class III dealer) are legal.
    Morgan didn't let that go, if "we" agreed to give that up than why not all "assault rifles"? Which is exactly what Gingrich tried to explain but Morgan doesn't give a chance to talk and blows up into craziness. Everything starts one step at a time. Nice job of dodging the "I want all guns banned" question too.

    It pisses me off to see Newt taking the wrong tact with this moron. First, automatic weapons are not Illegal in many states, second, the second amendment does not allow for infringement. End of discussion. Simple.

    Piers always harps on the amount of fire that an AR 15 is capable of. As if it is so much greater than any other weapon. ANY semi-automatic weapon (pistol, rifle, shotgun) is capable of the same rate of fire. Why do they not corner him on this point? Then he would admit he wants to ban all guns.

    Newt is one of the few I've heard point out that this is not a knee-jerk reaction to Sandy Hook and Aurora, etc., but a life long goal of the gun grabbers. We need more public echoes of this.

    This guy is the saddest excuse for a journalist there is. He asks a question and if he doesn't get an answer he agrees with, he cuts them off and resorts to name calling. I wish he would have Jeremy Clarkson on to pummel him in primetime tv.
