Just introducing myself, stuck in the most gun-unfriendly jurisdiction in the country but there seem to be some in the same boat in these forums (and some sympathetic Marylanders). I got a C&R license a while ago, so hopefully that helps me cut through the red tape a little. Fingers crossed!

Since DC has Shall Issue , it is no longer the default * Most Gun Unfriendly * jurisdiction .

Agreed. About 1/4 of the country are living in may issue carry, ie de facto no issue, while Dc residents are not.

EG virtually every gun owner I know in NJ or Md would trade and take DC's current laws over their laws.

On the other hand this is all due to one seat on the Supreme Court. One more GOP appointed seat and things will very likely get better nationally, one more Dem appointed seat and a massive amount of 2A rights will go south.

Welcome to MDS. I agree with the others that you have the "right" to CCW in DC that I will probably never get in MD. Those of us stuck in MD can only hope that the sentiment expressed by rascal in his post above comes through and SCOTUS changes the law for us.
