Will a 1:9 twist reliably stabilize a 75 grainers? I was under the assumption that it would, but not reliably which is one reason I'm leaning toward the Howa or Tikka.
Hornady Manual, 9th edition, page 156, "NOTE: It is recommended to use a 1-8" twist barrel or faster" referring to a 75 grain bullet item number 22792. Keep in mind bullet length is more the driver. That particular 75 grain bullet is longer than the their "boat tail" bullet. So I guess the right answer is it depends.
