I might be moving to TX for year doing a contracting gig. Now you can go to gun shows down there and buy weapons pretty easily (oftentimes without even showing ID). But if I did so, what are the rules for returning to MD with those firearms? Unregulated rifles/shotguns won't be a problem I would...
Hey everyone. I was wondering if anyone knows how to remove the inserted metal parts in a Mosin stock (or if they CAN be removed)? I gave a nice Mosin to a friend of mine last year for his birthday, and he was thinking of refinishing it. Now he's a wood guy, and has a really nice setup in his...
I'm going to sell my Saiga 12 and accessories to help fund my Tavor purchase. Can I sell it face-to-face as unregulated, even though I purchased it as a regulated firearm? The dealer back then treated it as regulated, so I'm unsure if I can now sell it as unregulated.
Thanks in advance.

Well, I don't normally sell any of my firearms (yep, I'm a hoarder), but I'm thinking about selling my Saiga 12 shotgun. I've taken it to the range twice in four years, and fired an astonishing 20 rounds out of it. :sad20: Pretty sad that I've really never used it. Anyway, I need room in the...
I just got an e-mail from Rep. Don Dwyer saying that the Committee vote on SB-281 is happening tomorrow. If it gets a favorable vote, it will be on the House floor Monday. He is encouraging everyone to come down at 10:00 on Friday.
Fingers crossed.
GAAAA. Dup. Mods, please delete.
My girlfriend bought me a pistol for Valentines Day (A CZ75 Compact). The gun was purchased on February 16th. Just called The Gun Rack, and was told that the MSP are currently working on February 6th purchases. So a minimum of 10-12 more days to get the paperwork back. :sad20:
Girlfriend just...
Just saw this. Trusts are being looked at since they sidestep the normal ATF NFA background checks....sigh.

Just thought I'd share these pics from Zombie Squad's website. Member has a M&P .22LR AR with over 10,000 rounds through it. Talk about caked on carbon.

For anyone in the market for a cheap 1911. No idea about the quality of ATI 1911s. But that's dirt cheap.

PSA weekend special. One of their base ARs, with an AimPoint Patrol optic for $999. Not a bad deal if anyone needs a starter AR.

OK, apologies in advance. I stumbled across this video while looking for this song, and I have no freaking idea what kind of pistol the chimp is shooting? (I also have no idea how this video got over 5 million hits, though I did bust out laughing the first time the Glock(?) wielding Chimp...
Very interesting article detailing an interview with a Soviet sniper on his experience in the Afghanistan conflict. The one in the 1980's. :)

I had to look up a Skechin automatic pistol, too cool.
Very interesting article that compares the effectiveness of various calibers. The author compiled quite a bit of data (though to be fair, there is no way to ascertain how accurate his data is; we'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that is was impartially gathered and correlated)...
I'm not a big fan of 5.56 in an AK. But this is interesting, especially since I already have a Beryl folding stock and rail. Pricey though, I think I'd rather have a Krebs tactical with the quick insert/release magwell for that kind of money.
