Buy a mini-14 they said, it’ll be fun they said.
I bought a brand new stainless mini-14 a week ago, and after lubing it up I’ve cycled it a few times to get some grittiness out of the action.
Took it apart today and cleaned out some lube, put it back together, went to cycle it and the charging...
Are they strong enough to depend on?
I’ve read this mini 14 mag release is pretty amazing, but it’s printed over 4 weeks by and additive 3D printer and I’m not sure if I’m setting myself up for brittle fracture with such a product.
Any thoughts...
My wife is in the military and we move a ton, so I was thinking of buying a mini-14 to minimize hassle that comes with moving.
I like the “tactical” version due to the shorter barrel, but was wondering if that version is considered too scary anywhere as it does have what looks like the...
It’s been a decade since I put a Surefire scout on my home defense rifle.
It’s a big and heavy light all the way out there at the end of my rifle, so when I saw that the new sig p365 has a tiny light that lights things up as well as a much larger light of yesteryear I decided to look and see...
So I’m moving again this summer and am thinking of storing two pelican cases rifles in the roofbox for the duration of the trip.
But I’m not sure about if that would be too hot.
One of the boxes has custom cut and glued closed cell foam, the other just the normal foam that comes with...
Three 18.5” home defense shot guns walk into a bar...
Seriously though, why for a given barrel length are Remington 870’s only 6+1 while Mossberg and Benelli are 8+1?
In looking at mag tubes that are flush with the 18.5” barrel how do mossberg and Benelli get 33% more rounds in?
Looking at getting a mini-14 or mini-30 as they seem to be 50 state legal and I realize I move too darn much to have an AR anymore.
So, how have prices on these magazines been in the past 14 years?
They are nearly 100% more expensive than colt factory AR mags, and I was just wondering if...
This is a bragging piece.
It will be used very little, just like the rest of my guns.
Well it's a three year wait to get a supergrade, and since I'm not sure where I will be in three years, or what the cost will be (they can literally charge whatever they want, even with a deposit, and...
So I stumbled across a sale at my local exchange and discovered the sig p226 MK-25.
I liked the grip and feel, but the sales guy was really up-selling the Legion version which they did not have in stock and couldn't order (he was a personal fan).
I went home and checked it out and it seems...
I like to think I'm a smart fellow of sound mind, but even though I store my guns and ammo separate I check my guns empty twice when taking them out of the safe, and two more times after dropping the mag, once more before handing it to someone and twice again after getting it back. I check it...
The Mrs is .mil, but in her career field only Chaplains are more removed from arms.
I am conflicted on which rear sight to put on the rifle I am building for her.
Options:
MBUS
LMT fixed
Troy Flip
MBUS: came with the upper, but it's sight picture is a bit too removed from the A2 she...
Random request, but I have a bunch of 09 mags and they have two different followers and base plates (slightly different). Just trying to see which ones are more current (the series code on the mags is M7 and M8, but there's no rhyme or reason to which ones have follower a vs follower b and I...

No experience with these, but the price is right for all the proper specs.
Alternatively Stag Arms has BCG's with a bit more pedigree for $106 shipped right now.
I couldn't tell you what color my followers were on my pre-ban mags, they sure as poop weren't magpul. More than likely they were all green as my dad got them from ANG buddies.
I never had an issue with those mags, and that's when I was a teen and 5.56 was cheaper than .22 is now. But...
Just go dry!
Our good friends at tacticalars.com may or may not have teamed up with Ice Arms to bring us a mil-spec complete BCG!
And just look at this blurb from the description:
"This assembly is made to last and to perform in the worst conditions. will perform "dry" without damage."...
Building an M4 for my wife to celebrate/commemorate her upcoming graduation/promotion.
Started with a Quentin Defense USAF lower (engraved with AiR Force logo and motto, plus has USAF as part of the serial number).
Added some Foliage furniture and bam USAF M4.
Thinking of getting it...
It's PTAC not PSA, but super cheap for a complete upper:
