      Personal Experience with 350 Legend wackin Bambi

      I put together a Howa Mini in 350 Legend this year and carried it a few days. Haven't shot a deer with it yet but want to see how it performs compared to my 450 Bushmasters. The mini with it's 16" barrel seems like a great size for treestands, etc.

      What cartridge do you use for deer?

      When I hunted mainly in Garrett County and WV it was usually a 270, 30-06, 300 wsm or 50 caliber muzzleloader. Now I hunt more in Baltimore County and I've sold my Savage 220 20 guage and gone to 450 Bushmasters or a 50 caliber muzzleloader. Carried a Howa mini in 350 Legend a few days this year...

      Picked up a couple packs of Winchester 209 777 primers at Arundel Mills Bass Pro yesterday. They had a lot still hanging. They were $16.99 each. They've been hard to find locally.

      Proposal to allow Straight Wall Pistol Cartridges

      On the registry, it says it is open for comments until 6 July and would be implemented 10 August. This is the same dates for the proposed hunting season comments/approval. I would say it looks promising unless negative comments are submitted. I guess the rules and seasons will be out late this year?

      I probably should have said SW of Cumberland. It's between Elk Garden, WV and Kitzmiller, MD. I Can see the "Welcome to MD" sign from the property. I stop at the convenient store in Elk Garden often.
