Theyre a small company, they sell only hand picked quality stuff, they dont sell in volume, theyre not "low" priced but always fair priced for handpicked often hard to find stuff with pictures.
So when he gets new stuff he sends it out on his mailing list, and most everything on that list...
posting the "new stuff" list is a no no, but i dont think simply posting about him having a lot to sell this summer is a big deal.
on topic by the way, on his new stuff list today was a well price and very nice portuguese 1896 mannlicher, i have never seen a nice one for sale for a decent...
Probably because the only commonly available affordable ones left are 24/47 and m48 and youre only gonna buy so many of those, not a bunch of makers, markings etc to collect in those compared to k98s or mosins, and the lack of cheap ammo doesnt help.

even with a C&R these days buying online you're probably looking at around $260 $275 after shipping.
so if you find a decent one locally, even up near $300 will be a fair price, especially since you can look at it before you buy.
the least is easy, most of my guns have not been fired by me.
not because i dont want to, i just dont get to the range that often, and get to the rifle range even less.
of what i have shot, my k98's are my most frequent, idont always bring the same one, but i always like to bring out a k98...
if the finish is bad, i would say by all means give it a BLO scrub or something.
i dunno that id stain it though.
if you want to get it looking more like original, you should look into getting some pine tar.
it was the pine tar finish that gave these rifles the darker look. after a...
thats cool, i understand.
several years ago on another forum, i knew a guy who was a LEO down south somewhere, and some old lady turned in an mp-40 that her husband had brought home and sat hidden in a closet for years.
sadly there was no legal way for her to keep it or sell it or...
agree, most ammo is around 40 cents a round right now anyway, you might aswell buy new made non corrosive reloadable ammo.
even if you dont reload someone else will buy the cases off you for a good price and you'll end up paying much less per round.
btw, if you want a bayonet otto has got a nice one up on his site.
http://www.ebayonet.com/bayonetsa_f.htm
i bought mine from him years ago, great service and he is probably the best source for bayonets there is.
the wrapped 15 rounders have always been pretty well available, i think there were a LOT made.
liberty tree has 30 rounders for $30 and both USGI for $22 and new korean 15 rounders for $24 in stock...
they only look at your book.
it would be pointless to look at the guns, it would take much more time, some people have hundreds or even thousands of guns, it could take days to check it all if they did, and collectors are essentially volunteering information anyway, if someone were trying to...
i agree, right now, proper original 15 rounders can be shipped to MD, after oct that wont be the case any more.
get em now, they will be legal to keep even after october.
im sure keepshooting's mags are great, but personally i would rather get the original 15 rounders or even original 30...
i dunno, within 15 yards or so they seem ok, mostly the stiff trigger and terrible sights limit how well you can shoot it, but i dont think the guns themselves are all that inherently inaccurate, they're actually pretty well made.
they can be finicky, and parts are few and far between, if you get one you should immediately buy a proper steel gas adjustment tool this seller has been selling these new made ones for years on gunbroker, he's one of the only sources out there for hakim parts and tools...
Awesome, few rifles as cool as the hakim and you have to look at some much larger caliber weapons to compare the boom to.
Also watch that thumb! Id call it hakim thumb, but thats a bad comparison because at least with garand thumb the thumb is still there!

nah, its a popular caliber, that price is mostly because of the ammo shortage.
i was paying about $15 a box just a few months ago.
it will settle down again eventually.
sticky bolt is not simply a characteristic of some mosins.
it is an issue and is normally a pretty easy fix.
heres a good article on it.

true, but it helps to have a couple thousand rounds put away that you only paid 5 to 10 cents for :D
what i do is take several guns to the range so i dont use a ton of my more precious ammo at once. i do my blasting with either an ar or ak/SKS for fun (though these days thats not affordable...
HA, you fool.
once you've gotten to the point where you feel compelled to come here and ask whether you should buy one, then you already know in your heart that its too late, you WILL buy one...or two...or five, hell, have you seen how nice the crates full are? just saying.
in time the...
