Got some ammo in finally that I know the Ruger has liked in the past (Nosler Match 77 grain HPBT) and am happy to report that’s it’s back to an 1 MOA rifle again. I can put 5 rounds into a 1 inch square at 100 yards again. Not too bad for an old shotguner with a $400 rifle.
I’m convinced it...
This roster must be a joke. I’ve owned one of the guns on this list above for a while now. Purchased at a local shop. Same thing happened a couple of years ago on another handgun I purchased. Why is MSP approving these purchases on guns not on the roster?
Thanks for the responses, everyone. The first thing I tried was checking the torque on all of my scope rings and base. No problems there. I ordered some of my rifles favorite fodder last night so I'll get it to the range when it comes in.
Does the amount and (potential) negative effect of...
I'm primarily a shotgun shooter, so I'll claim that as an excuse.
I have a Ruger American in .223. Nice scope on it and a aftermarket 1.5 pound trigger I put in it. It was (was) a 1 MOA rifle with the proper factory match ammo, with maybe 400 rounds through it at this point. It started to open...
I just sent a new Ruger Mk IV back to them for work because the gun was malfunctioning. They gave me 2 options: 1) Take the gun back to where I purchased it from and that person would package and ship it for me, at Ruger's expense. When the pistol was done, they would ship it back to the dealer...
You don't need the mid-rib bead really. Some would argue you don't need a front bead, either. But it can be nice to have so you can ensure you're mounting the gun properly. Regardless, you shouldn't be looking at ANY bead when you're shooting.
You need to go to Joel Etchens in PA. It’s worth the drive. They have a huge variety of Berettas, Brownings, CGs etc. in all different barrel lengths. They’ll also fit your gun to you which is essential.
Bass Pro, Cabellas, PG only gave a handful of guns and they won’t fit the gun.
The confusion seems to be with the store. One store says you can't, but another store has happily taken my money and I get the gun (after 7 days of course). No need for me to submit it to the board because I got the gun both times.
My thinking is that the gun WAS on the roster after all (else...
There seems to be much confusion in the retail stores in this state about the handgun roster, and I'm curious if MSP is enforcing the roster.
This has happened to me twice now. One gun shop says they can't sell me a handgun because it's not on the roster. Then 10 miles away another gun shop is...
I sent a brand new MK IV to them 3 weeks ago (on their dime) for terrible reliability issues. Haven't heard back from them yet. They could have built a new one from scratch in this time.
I use to have that problem. Then I got some one on one instruction and the coach said I had a eye dominance issue, I was probably 66% right eyed and 33% left eyed. He said few people are actually 100% one-eyed dominant. He told me to just squint my left eye on the going away birds and, voila, I...
