WTOP on Council of Governments
WTOP radio just had a bit about 20 minutes ago on the push to get the Council of Governments to agree to gun control, and I heard several areas, including Fairfax City and Frederick, said they'd withdraw their Council funding altogether if this goes forward...
Obama is stupid like a fox. He's been hanging out with "brainwash them to fear guns" Holder since his Chicago days; he was employed by the Joyce Foundation, which has funded almost every anti-gun organization in existence; he was given space to entertain during his first candidacy by George...
I'll wait and see if the democrats decide to curry favor with the governor and partisans. As a last resort, we'll depend on the courts and I assume Beretta will finally call it quits and move the rest of its operation to VA.
Maybe the realization of the potential loss of taxpayers and Beretta...

Yes! Even if you don't have much time, quickly look up 3 sound bites to make your case -- MSI has even posted a library where you can find things, and online articles by Kopel, Volokh, Halbrook, Malcolm, Mauser, Lott and others have plenty of juicy tidbits to harvest.
If some of O'Malley's...
Honestly, I had never heard of Marylanders United for Gun Rights before, and with the event planned with very short notice, I doubt most organizations had a chance to even think about requesting co-sponsoring or getting board approval. A lot of people told me afterwards they never heard about...
This will only energize the citizen disarmament crowd in other states. I'll still show up and make my case in Annapolis. I really hate to think I may have to move to another state just to keep from losing all of my rights.
I just learned that groups in TX also have decided to head to Austin on the 19th at 11 AM instead of Feb. 8, and for the same reason. They believe that Obama needs to see disagreement before he crows at the inauguration about what he's already accomplished in 2013.
I personally plan to attend...
I was just notified that the SD groups have chosen to move their unofficial "rally" ahead to Jan. 19 to give a large showing prior to the presidential inauguration planned for MLK Day and are cancelling the Feb. 8 event.
I hope at least one of these rallies gains a lot of traction here.
Neuroscientist opinion piece
Bingo! I've read a lot of his neuroscience material, and he's considered a leading researcher in that field.
He is basically trying to make the Brady Kool-aid taste reasonable, after deep consideration of something he's never researched and knows little about...
Feb 8 march
Although the title of this march leaves me less than excited, I'd like to pass the information on to women I know if it's actually going to happen. As soon as anyone has solid info, please post it here.
My understanding is that the ammo rule is to avoid people bringing ammo that would quickly destroy their backstop, and they also wanted to avoid accidents. I can actually see why this would be important for a busy public range where they don't have a lot of control of your experience or mental...
I've bought ammo there quite a few times over the past year, and no one has ever asked me to sign anything. They are generally my go-to store, since they are so convenient and helpful.
I really love the idea of an indoor range close to home so I can stay out of the weather. This will be...
I've been there on ladies day quite a few times over the years, and nothing really bad ever happened, except once an instructor practicing by himself was going too far forward into his lane so ladies were getting stung in the face. We alerted him to the problem, and he ignored us, so we had to...
It's very popular with women since it carries well. Not my first choice for target shooting, of course, but reliable and accurate and very concealable. The new NRA camo one is pretty nice-looking.
I used an old borrowed Mossberg for years for skeet/trap/sporting clays with great success, and recently purchased a Mossberg 500 auto-loader. They have many different configurations, and it's a LOT cheaper than the B's. Don't get me wrong, I love the Bs, yet this gun does everything I need...
