      Hungarian HD-18 rifle in 7.62x54R

Just picked up this rifle from Atlantic Firearms. This thread will be continuously updated as I shoot the hell outta this rifle. I meant to do it the same day but I left work later than expected. What is it? It is a clone of the Russian Dragunov (Type 3, most modern version) chambered in...

      For you Lee Loadmaster folks

I've loaded upwards of 15k rounds at this point. Sometimes I'll run into problems indexing after a couple hundred rounds loaded, mostly because of tolerance stacking between the quick-change turret, shell plate, indexing rod, and carrier alignment. This was very much evident on caliber changes...

      Handgun warranty work and registration

If I receive a replacement handgun (same make and model) under warranty, is there a requirement to register the new serial with the MSP? There's a Voluntary Registration application but it doesn't seem like it applies (the "desires" postion bothers me): "The registration of a regulated...

      RPK-74M clone

Just picked up my RPK-74M clone from Duffy's. Base rifle was a Molot VEPR FM 74-21. Duffy's installed the RPK barrel, etched the proper selector markings, and refinished the whole rifle. Duffy's does amazing work, they have earned a customer.

      Century CETME banned

MSP just recently declared the Century CETME as banned. I wonder how this affects the C308 rifles which were also listed as banned but sold anyway. Thoughts?

Can anyone recommend any FFLs in VA that will sell legal EBRs to MD residents?

      Non-resident military question

One of my work buddies is an Alaska resident but it stationed here. He purchased two lowers and did the 7-day wait blah blah. At this point he has to wait 60 days to purchase another regulated firearm in MD. That point is clear, but what's stopping him from going over the border and just buying...

      PSA AK-V (9mm AK)

Looks like PSA's AK-V (Vityaz clone) is almost ready for primetime. https://palmettostatearmory.com/ak-47/ak-v.html Anyone know a good dealer to coordinate a roster submission for this? Update: It will release today around 4:30 at $699 and up depending on model.

      School me on lever guns

Wife's been watching too much Longmire on Netflix, she's a country girl at heart and loves that stuff (horses, farm-stuff, etc.). In any case she finally showed some interest in shooting, I usually have to drag her to the range. She wants a Winchester Model 94 like in the show. I'm...

      SLR-106 legal

I was just randomly browsing the MSP website and I noticed the SLR-106 is now legal. The SLR-106 is the Bulgarian-made semi-auto 5.56 variant of the AK-100 series rifles. The listing doesn't specify a specific model so I guess that all SLR-106 variants, both rifle and carbine, are legal...

      Home audio install quick job

I'm in need of someone who has experience with mounting speakers for a small home audio setup. I need two rear surround speakers mounted, Polk Audio Monitor 40s about 19lbs each, to dry wall. I'm thinking it's going to need anchors or toggles or whatever. Will pay for brackets and other...

      Usefulness of absolute co-witness

I'm trying to decide on an red dot for my AR with a fixed front-sight post and a BUIS. At the moment I'm trying to wrap my head on whether it should be 1/3 co-witness or absolute co-witness. My thoughts are that with although absolute is nice you have a large part of your sight picture taken up...
