      Beretta 92FS

I love the platform. When I was sworn into my first PD many years ago I was initially issued a Beretta 92 FS, which was later replaced by the Beretta 96. I have a big hand so I replaced the stock grip with a hogue grips (with the finger grooves) and absolutely loved the gun. I thought it was...

      Small revolvers as Backup/Carry Guns?

In the early 2002 when I was a rookie police officer my department only allowed off duty carry to be your duty weapon (Glock 22), a Glock 27, or a 38 or 357 revolver. I have never been able to really shoot a G27 very well, so I started with a S&W Model 60. It was heavy, for a relatively small...

Which AK to buy when the MD ban gets struck down?

While not a AK, the VZ58 is AKish and is Maryland legal.

Talk me out of a Glock

I think you will regret not buying it more than you ever would regret buying it. As been stated, its not the prettiest thing out there but its economical, accurate and extremely reliable.

Pulled over by State Police yesterday

I was a city police officer in another state in 2004. Around that time the state began to allow CCW. The rollout was not great. CCW permits were linked to driver's licenses/license plates, and it was not linked very clearly. Luckily that got straightened out pretty quickly. It was always my...

      5 Guns Everyone Needs

      1. Glock 19 2. AR-15 (As much as I love my KAC SR15 I would keep it to something like a Colt so I don't need proprietary parts or tools) 3. Mossberg 500/590 or Remington 870 4. Bolt Action 308 5. Ruger 10/22

      kahr arms pistols

I had a PM9 a while ago (2006-2008). I loved it for the size and weight. However, as mentioned above, it was a snappy gun. I thought the trigger was very long and heavy and was not a huge fan of it overall. With that said, I had about 2000K rounds downrange with it and it always went bang.

      20 Gauge Trap Gun

My wife has a 20 gauge Benelli Montefeltro for sporting clays. Its light, soft recoil and well built. Id strongly recommend it.

      Greetings from A.A. Co.

Welcome from another Anne Arundel bald guy. I used to belong to Berwyn Rod and Gun in Laurel. I really enjoyed it and had a good experience there. Its pretty close and good facilities to shoot.

      Walther PPQ M2 4”

Short answer, No. Option 1 is doable but you will probably only get the MD complaint 10 round package. Option 2 is also possible in regards to buying online and having it sent to a Maryland FFL. The problem is, unless you meet certain criteria (ie have a badge) you don't get the 15 round...

Guns You're SAD You Bought Or GLAD You Dumped

The biggest mistake I ever made was the first gun I ever bought, a Ruger P90. I bought it to go through police academy in 2001 and it was the biggest POS Ive ever shot. The gun frequently jammed, was inaccurate and just miserable to shoot. The departmental armorers couldn't get it to work...
