      9mm For Her

I haven't ruled out the 380 if it comes to that. I read about the TCP with wings but get the feeling they're still a bit gimmicky. Maybe someone who's experienced with it can weigh in.

      9mm For Her

I haven't instructed her on push/pull, mainly bc I never use it - but no why reason she can't learn. Me either for that matter!

      9mm For Her

Any recommendations? She struggles to operate the slide on my S&W MP9 and I'm looking for a second home protection handgun, which could be her primary. I considered a 380 but would prefer to stay with the same caliber. Suggestions appreciated!

      Black history bulldozed!

Man, that prison quip was ignorant and disrespectful. No need to go there dude. The reason there are segregated neighborhoods is because banks and the federal govt. long ago divested from Black neighborhoods. Red-lining excluded generations of minorities from home ownership, i.e. a means to grow...

      Black history bulldozed!

It doesn't matter where you live, East Baltimore or Potomac, nobody wants to worry about losing their home. That goes double if they have little or no resources to afford a new one. The author expressed mixed feelings about the changes which he has zero control over, only natural when you're not...

      Hello from Germantown

Hello and Welcome! I used to live in Germantown, with the worst commute to Loudon county VA ever. But I loved the town and my time there. Cheers and salud!

      Where to Pattern my Shotgun?

Myrtle Grove Charles County I will chime in late and tell you what I know about Myrtle Grove in La Plata, MD. It is a DNR maintained wildlife area with an outdoor target range for handguns, shotguns and rifles. Range is $20 seasonal permit or $5/day honor system. Eight (8) shooting stations max...

      Shotgun recommendations?

Remmy 870 For Sure I third, fourth, fifth, Nth on the Remmy 870. He should save another $150 and get the reference shotgun. It is versatile for his stated needs, parts and mods are everywhere and above all is reliable. He will have fun with this gun.

      Your first handgun?

S&W M&P9 First shot and practiced years ago with a Bersa 380 which I didn't own. For purchase I looked at Glock 17 but recently chose the S&W M&P 9 fullsize. Maybe it chose me. This gun feels great in my hand, is accurate and isn't bad looking. Very happy with it so far.

      Happy to Join

New shooter here from Crofton. I recently completed the HQL training course and got a lot out of it especially as someone who is unfamiliar with both handguns and Maryland gun laws in general. For any new shooters I can't recommend Donna and her team at Worth-A-Shot enough. It's obvious from...

      Read This Blog!

Seeking to Understand I'm new and seeking to learn more about my newly adopted community. The Sipsey blog holds many interesting ideas and espouses ideals I am both familiar with and have embraced - for the most part. But the dichotomy of his support for Bundy, and the statement attributed to...
