      loading 44 magnum

I loaded my first couple hundred rounds of 44mag (LSWC) with H110. I like the powder, but as many here have said, it's for full power loads. I don't think it's suited to lighter loadings. The first 50 rounds were pretty snappy, but shot straight and true. So, I like it for 44mag full power, but...

Looking to upgrade my Lee dies. Which to buy?

I would still go with RCBS, but I would use a tiny dab of lube with 223 cases. Just my 2 cents. I also have the Lee 223 dies and have stuck cases before. I only bought the Lee dies because at the time everywhere I looked the RCBS's were back ordered.

Looking to upgrade my Lee dies. Which to buy?

I'm really happy with my RCBS carbide dies. No need for case lube and excellent customer service. I broke a decapping pin on my 9mm carbide die and called to see if I could get another one. They said no problem, they would send me one at no charge. In a few days I received a package with the...

      Making snap caps

First batch done.... I used white Duron Tub and Tile Adhesive caulk, only because I found a fresh tube in my garage. I tried one out in my Kel-Tek PF9 and it seems to work fine. The caulk shows a small black mark where the firing pin struck. I'm sure they will wear out after a while, but it's...

      Cast bullet buying habits

I was going to focus on lead cast handgun bullets, but if the interest is there I would be glad to look into plated or jacked rifle bullets.

      Cast bullet buying habits

Cast bullet buying I was thinking about doing a large bulk order of cast bullets and seeing if I could save the MDS re-loaders some money as well as saving myself some dough. My thought is to get as many people together as possible and putting together a bulk order of hard cast bullets in...

      Making snap caps

I saw somewhere that Shoe Goo works well. It's supposedly much more rigid than silicon caulk, etc. Anyone try it?

      Making snap caps

Any of you guys make your own snap caps? I am working on my first batch of 9mm snap caps and I'm wondering what I should do for primer pocket filler. I was planning on leaving spent primers in and just keep hitting them, but I don't think that's gonna last very long. My next thought was to...

      OK all you Glock fans....

Not sure if they are "officially" interchangeable, but I have seen where people use them interchangeably and it works... Internet search stuff only...... :D I should clarify.... I have seen where a guy is using the G20 mags to shoot the shorter 45ACP and said it works fine. I doubt you could...

      OK all you Glock fans....

Ok, but I'm saying new barrel and slide for the 21 or 21. My plan would be get a Glock 20 in 10mm and be able to convert later to the 21 barrel and slide.

      OK all you Glock fans....

I have been wanting a 10mm and really like the Glock 20's. I heard somewhere that the Glock 20 and Glock 21 (45ACP) frames are the same. So, could I get a Glock 20 or 21 and buy a slide and barrel for the other and kill 2 birds with one stone? I would love to be able to go Glock 20 in...

      CZ 9mm re-sellers

Most gun shops can order them, even if they don't stock them. Ask at your local store, if you haven't already.

      Glock Gen3 vs Gen4

Yea, I didn't find anything in the Gen4 that I liked over the Gen3.

What ONE handgun would you choose for the next ten years?

For me... my Gen3 G19. Reliability, reliability, reliability. It's my absolute favorite pistol after 15+ years of handgunning. I have some other choices, like a 1911, but nothing stands the torture that a Glock does. Also the solid, readily available, 9mm cartridge as well as parts galore! I...

      Glock Gen3 vs Gen4

Go to Gun Connection, or other local gun shop and handle the G19 and G17 (both 9mm). I know Dan has some Gen4's as well. I have a Gen3 G19, and in my opinion, it's one of the most versatile and well rounded Glock. Not meaning it's the best Glock by any means, just that it seems to be the choice...
