Selling Handgun w/ Mag Capacity over limit

Yeah. Sorry this was an exception in that I was planning to sell to a friend. So I don't mind helping him keep the cost down. So I guess, I'd go with whatever the buyer wants if it's a rando. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Selling Handgun w/ Mag Capacity over limit

Absolutely. Complete brain fart on my end. That said, all the planning was for nothing it seems. Still sitting on the pistol. Collecting dust... but I'll definitely go the trooper route if I sell in state. I can't justify the cost of an FFL. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Selling Handgun w/ Mag Capacity over limit

Good call. Never been an option before since I've never bought/sold second hand in state. Thanks for the reminder. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah I had a huge brain fart on that part. Just trying to CYA on the mags. Thanks for all the quick feedback.

Selling Handgun w/ Mag Capacity over limit

Ah thanks! OK. So use my normal FFL for the handgun and deal with the mags separately. It was going to be a non issue because I was going to keep the mags but I think I'm done with 9mm in general.

Selling Handgun w/ Mag Capacity over limit

I'm planning to sell my SW M&P which has two 16rnd mags. It's a to a friend who also lives in MD. Any gotchas I should be aware of using a VA FFL for the transfer?

      Black Friday Safe Deals

Honestly I'm just looking to upgrade. Trigger locks and cases alone insufficient. Thought they've been enough for 10+ years. Not so worried about the kids or theft, but adding a layer of security is great peace of mind. I've had no issues being rather vigilant with home security. Between...

      Black Friday Safe Deals

Just saw that sale come back. But looks like Home Depot is still leading the pack with free shipping. Loads of sales going on now this week. Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

      Black Friday Safe Deals

Awesome. I'll keep all of these on my radar. The Home Depot sale goes through the end of the month so I've got some time. Thanks for the suggestions! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

      Black Friday Safe Deals

Haha. Cheap it is. But how better is a cabinet over a lockable case? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

      Black Friday Safe Deals

Maybe I've got to get my butt from in front of this screen and in a store to see those prices Scout6. Right now this Stack-On/Armorguard deal from Home Depot seems to be my best bet. Was hoping I could shave another $50 or so off the $440 price tag. Guess it's already a better deal than I thought?

      Black Friday Safe Deals

Anyone here aware of any good Black Friday deals on gun safes? Nothing crazy. Just enough to hold 4 long guns, 5 pistols and some small valuables. I've been eyeing a 24 gun safe from Stack-On. Enough room for everything to sit comfortably, with room to grow errr I mean spare. I'm...

      Pepper Spray Gun

Good point on the lingering cloud. If you fire 4 or 5 of those in an apartment I'd imagine you'd have yourself a problem. Especially for kids or pets on the premises.

      Pepper Spray Gun

Ok I'm really just curious what are everyone's thoughts on this: https://www.saltsupply.com/ Besides the potential trojan horse effect of non lethal self defense projectiles on the market, I'm wondering as a community how do you feel about this as an option for those who want it?

      What's a good group size for a compact/carry pistol?

OP here. Been out of pocket with work lately so I'm just catching up. hogarth I'm intermediate at best with pistols, but completely new compacts. I really like that 5^5 drill. Seems handy for measuring performance on a repeated basis. tridentmp30, originally my goal was just to see how well I...

      What's a good group size for a compact/carry pistol?

Thanks for the tips! I didn't think too much about the holstering or speed shooting. Initially I was just trying to break in the new gun. I'll have to try 3-5 shot bursts from holster next time I'm out there. I'd like to test my skill under a more stressful time sensitive situation.

      What's a good group size for a compact/carry pistol?

I picked up a new M&P Shield 9mm today and immediately took it to the range. Figuring it's use case was primarily for close range self defense I sent a couple 8" bullseye targets 5 yards out and slow fired a few magazines. Minus a few early flyers I was surprised to be getting 2.5" to 3" groups...

      Trap, new addiction?

I started with a 12ga Spartan in Skeet then Trap. But it was too heavy and loud. Switched to a 20ga Franchi 720 Diamond for Trap and LOVED every minute of it, despite taking all last year off :( I pull 17-19/25 consistently with a 20ga but figure I could put that extra shot from a 12ga to good...

      Trap, new addiction?

I love this. Though I've never shot Five Stand and am waiting to get a new 12ga O/U before I venture into Sporting Clays.
