I responded to this incident. Just noticed this thread. Without being too descriptive I will try to answer some of the questions I have seen in this thread because as usual, the media got it wrong...
It was self inflicted, not an accident
It was a .357 revolver rental weapon
He was shooting .38...
The day I got this buck started out terrible and continued from there.
I woke up late, at 9 am, because my phone took a crap on me and died overnight while sleeping so the alarm didn't go off. I was on another phone complaining to my wife, who told me to stop whining and get in my stand and...
itsslow He was very heavy. I had to back my atv into a rut and stand on the mound with my father-in-law to get it onto the back of the atv. I've never been good at guessing weights on deer but my father-in- law estimites he dressed at 175 or more.
foxtrapper I wish I had known. I have used a...
Thank you. This is my second deer with a bow. First buck. Yes, both were taken with a compound bow. I've been "bow hunting" for several years but not very dedicated. I decided this year to put a little more time into bow season and it paid off.
I harvested my first buck with a compound bow today (11/8/14) and only my second deer with a bow ever. It was the most exhilarating experience hunting yet! It's a bruiser!!!
This only addresses the "Taser" portion of your question. "Taser" is the trade name of a specific device. MD law refers to them as electronic control devices...

How short can .223 cases be trimmed and still be safe? I just bought a Lyman case trimmer and apparently I made an error when I set the stop dials. Case length is listed at 1.75" in the book. My cases are now trimmed to 1.73. Is the .02" difference that big of a deal to safely shoot? I've also...
And actually now I know why I thought federal. That's how the case was labeled. (See additional pic)
It's good brass. I was just wondering why the four year old stamp if we just got the shipment in at the range and fired it last week.
Haha. Trust me I did!
I was part of the group firing it. It didn't sit long lol
Yeah. That's is what I meant. We use Federal for duty...
So do you think it was just that the brass was manufactured in 10 or the round and it was factory reloaded at some point?
So I'm sitting at my bench pondering the meaning of life and a say to myself, "self why is all this brass stamped LC 10"?
This is the majority of the brass I claimed from the range at work last week. This may be a silly question but does Federal reclaim and reload at the factory?
It my...
I go through at least 3 checks on all cases. Before sizing, again while trimming, and again just before seating the bullet. I'm using a single stage press so its slow but I figure it will keep my from killing myself or blowing up my weapon haha
These dimples were actually noticed before sizing so its not from the lube. I actually thought this also but started finding them before sizing. One had three dimples on the shoulder... So far I've found five I think. I left them on the bench u til I got some feedback.
Thanks all.
