Just noticed this thread and allow me to play devils advocate for a second. If a large number of DINOs "infiltrate" the Democratic primaries, what's to stop a bunch of people registering RINO and voting against pro-gun candidates?
A couple of you said you've found bricks of Thunderbolt, but from what I've read, my Marlin might not take too kindly to that ammo. Anyone have any experience running Thunderbolt through a Marlin 795?
Im in Montgomery County and it's almost impossible to buy any bulk .22LR anywhere. Anyone know of any shops that have a reliable stock? I've pretty much given up on Walmart and Dicks only sells one 100 rd box at a time. I'm willing to drive a ways to buy some. Unfortunately, I don't have any...
I don't plan on getting an HQL. I got my Glock23 and an AR lower just before 10/1, so I was set for a while, but I started to get an itch for a .22. I know...bought a .40 and an AR before I even had a .22....weird, right? lol Anyway, I wanted a Ruger MkIII just for plinking and varmint hunting...
You can't access their guns and ammo section from their site directly, but if you Google "Dicks sports rifles," there's still a link to their shooting section. Only available to purchase in stores tho.
I was curious about this, too. I just picked up my handgun on 9/14. Could I purchase a lower even if I have to wait until after 10/1 to pick it up? Or is it too late to purchase a soon-to-be-banned weapon?
Submitted 5/14. ND 9/11. Hasn't been faxed yet to Atlantic Guns, Rockville, but my first MD gun buying experience has just about come to an end. What a journey lol.
Lol. Thanks to both of you, anyway. I'm getting my first gun (hopefully) in the next week or so and this board has been very helpful for all the legal stuff.
Question about the Utah permit: I think I read somewhere that in order to get a Utah permit, you must already have a carry permit in your home state. Is this correct? If so, being that it's nearly impossible to get a CCW in MD, is acquiring the Utah permit useless? I ask because, although I've...
So I called MSP today and they said they're processing apps from May 18th, but my 5/14 purchase, which was faxed to them same day, has not been reviewed yet. They said it's in the system, but not in their records database or whatever yet (apparently they use two databases).
I'm new to all this...
What kind of case is she trying to build? I mean is she arguing unconstitutionality, seeking a settlement, or something else? I fall into the category she's looking for, but I'm also right on the bubble of getting my Glock within the next week or so. Sounds like an interesting case tho.
Purchased 5/15 from Atlantic Guns, Rockville. First MD gun purchase. Still waiting.
Question: Some of you have contacted the MSP...what number do I call and with whom should I ask to speak? Also, does this help speed up the process, or just give you a better idea of where your application is...
Unfortunately, I don't have any other purchases they can reference, so I'm probably in it for the long haul.
What do you think the chances are they'll start releasing in the last week of September to save people the hassle of the whole HQL?
I called Atlantic Guns (Rockville) yesterday and they said they've only released one May purchase. Apparently, they're still in April. Has me a little worried about the 10/1 deadline.
I'm worried about secondary review. I'm a first-time buyer with a very common name. Purchase was 5/15, so if I don't go into secondary, I should be able to pick up my pistol sometime in September, but if I'm pushed to secondary, I might not make the 10/1 cutoff. I don't even want to imagine the...
I'm just over 100 days as well.
Does anyone have experience with secondary review? I have a very common name. Is that enough to send me into secondary?
Feels like it's been stuck at 5/3; 4/23 for a long time.
Kinda related question: I have an extremely common name. Am I almost guaranteed to go right into secondary review? If so, this doesn't really make sense to me, as they have my SS# so why do checks by name?
