      If you build one, doesn't it still need to be registered with MDSP? As in, you buy the "pistol specific" lower and the FFL transfers it to you like a pistol? Waiting period and registration still applicable?

      There were a few Tavors for sale over at a gun shop. They had the Golf ball launcher attached but from what I hear factory versions of the gun might come with an extension to meet the OAL requirement. The Tavor with those bits should be GTG last I saw.

      That should be correct. Technically it should be GTG but check with local gun shop for verification. Maybe they can get you one without the evil birdcage. Obviously "Ships in oversized hard case for accessory storage, includes 30-round PMAG™" (bold part) is banned due to excessive evil-ness.
