Cause Freestate can't do a NICS check...MSP refuses to relinquish control on that. This was clearly purchased prior to the 8-day release started (late May)....Had we known that was coming, we clearly would've gone to a participating dealer :envy:
This is going to put a hurt on the FFLs...
My wife bought a 9mm back in late may so she wouldn't have to do a HQL. If she is forced to get one due to the laziness of MSP no processing 77Rs in a timely fashion, you best believe we are going to demand a refund on the gun!
Does this lawsuit draw complaint against MDSP serving as the NICS POC? This seems to be a large hangup for many of the FFLs who are currently not releasing...
I bought mine recently from PSA. Mine shipped 2 weeks exactly after ordering. Doesn't come with a BCG or charging handle, but I picked those up elsewhere.
Freestate stated in the IP section that they requested more info from MSP on how to deal with NICS check. They will not release without having a NICS number.
This is obviously a rapidly evolving situation. I think it'll be sooner than later before all FFLs have to start practicing 8-day before they are completely shunned as a place to buy future guns.
However, there are details that need to be figured out before this happens too widespread.
wouldn't take that long on a proper end mill. However, on a drill press, most of the pocket is drilled out. You need to drill ~36 1/8" holes to a predetermined depth which should be done slow not to break the bit. Then you drill out the holes with an 3/8" bit to the same depth. the 3/8 holes...
I did my own. 20 cents for a 1/8" steel dowel pin, 5 minutes to drill a hole and dimple in the barrel and 5 minutes to set up the TIG torch to weld it. $20 is a fair price to do it IMHO
my new toy that I just finished.
PSA 80% billet lower
PSA Hammer Forged Mid Upper - 14.7''
Surefire MB556K muzzle brake (permanently pinned on)
Magpul FDE ACS-L stock
NHMTG 5.56 20rd AR15 Magazine USGI
Still needs a different handguard
Upper came in and I wasted no time ;)
Clocked the Surefire muzzle brake and drilled a 1/8" hole about 1/16" into the barrel
Fired up the trusty TIG welder, welded the pin to the brake then assembled my "non-SBR" rifle :party29:
Still need to find some FDE mags, I have some NHMTG 5.56...
