So I picked this up for $349, How did I do? SIG P6

I still haven't tried JHP in my '79 P6. One of these days I'll probably try some. It's been 100% with FMJ. My wife and I love ours.

      Gun Shops close to Bowie?

I usually go to On Target in Severn to shoot, but my only gun purchase was from Dan at Gun Connection. You can't beat his prices! :D Don't forget Bass Pro Shop in Arundel Mills - if only to laugh at the prices!

      5.11 vs.TRU SPEC 24-7

I'm always curious about these things - where are they made? I've been avoiding Chinese products for personal reasons.

Lee hand press and ram prime....

That's good to hear - I don't have room for a reloading table either and have been thinking hard about Lee's hand press as well.

Sig Mosquito and Walther P22 Trials.

Glad you liked the Mosquito. I've had mine almost two years now and it's really a great gun. I looked at the old Walther P22's when I bought the Skeeter and couldn't get over how toy-like they seemed. The new ones are nice, but I'm married to the Skeeter, now! My experience is the same as...

      Opinions Sig P6 225 or S&W Sigma 9mm

My wife and I love our P6. I don't even mind the DA pull on it. It's lighter than the DA pull on my Mosquito!

Took a trip to CMP's north store

OK - looked it up. I think all I need is my military ID and maybe my passport/birth certificate. Does that sound right? And all the notes on their page about forms and notaries only applies to mail/online orders, right?

Took a trip to CMP's north store

Thanks for the post Blindnoodle. I'm planning a similar trip this summer. M1 Carbine is my first priority and it was good to hear there was a good selection. Your comment about quality variation definitely sealed the deal on going in person vice ordering online. What kind of documentation...

moved to md from ny do i transfer guns i owned there?

As far as I was able to determine when I moved here, nothing is required. If one of your guns is not on the "approved" list, you will not be able to transfer it to another MD resident while you live here. That's the only restriction I'm aware of. Wait for for Novus to chime in. He studies...

      Sig 225/P6

Now that I've shot one of Dan's last group of P6's, I see the reasons. It's relatively small, inexpensive, accurate, and reliable. Mine was made in 1979 and shoots great. I had heard these police trade-ins had heavy mainsprings and hard DA trigger pulls, but mine is SWEET. Easy DA pull...

      Sig Porn

I'm one of those guys who picked the Mosquito over the P22. The Walther was just too toy-like for me. The Mosquito is not quite full size, but close. Maybe 90%-95% of a P229. Definitely big enough for me to wrap whole hand around and not have a pinky hanging free. As for...
