I blow all the big chunks out of the upper and lower with Gunscrubber... I take apart my BCG and blow it off with Gunscrubber... then I relube and put the rifle away... it takes all of 5-10 minutes... I do this about every 1000 rounds or so, I'm shooting most of that 1000 rounds suppressed, so...
I just helped a guy build his first AR: Spike's stripped lower and complete Palmetto State Armory midlength kit. He brought the parts to where I work and 45 minutes later he was in his car driving to the LGS... where he traded the handguard and upgraded to a rail (UTG :sad20:) and added a BUIS...
The reason that I use them is because they ALWAYS work in the extreme cold. USGI mags don't...

I don't know how good the airsoft copies are... but I have a buddy who uses the airsoft SOPMOD stock on one of his AR's and it's made it through a few carbine classes... so I assume they are sturdy enough for a range toy!

Why don't you just buy an airsoft copy... they are cheap!
"All other MAGPUL PTS stocks, including the MOE stock, CTR stock, and ACS, will fit almost all airsoft rifles; they are also very close to milspec, and will fit real milspec buffer tubes."...
