Worked the AR308 out today and it went without a hitch. I'm getting used to the stock and can get the same check-weld most every time and almost no recoil. No FTFs or any miss-fires. Scope is incredible. This is the best six round group I could get. Done with a cooled down gun with 200 rounds...
Thanks to Polecat I won a S&W Sport at the NRA Dinner. It has a bull barrel with no flash suppressor (loud and bright). I want to switch out the barrel and wondered what caliber to put in it. What do you all think, 500, 6.8? Might be fun to try something new. Hopefully the 308 parts will be in...
This is the start I have, still waiting for a few parts.
Criterion 18.5", 1X10 match barrel
Vortex PST 4X16X50 FFP scope
DPMS lower
Geissele Trigger

Hopefully I can get some finished photos this week and get it to the range.
Since Spikes uppers are so hard to get right now, which upper in 5.56 do you think is best? Prices from 500 to 800 I think. This should be fun.
IWas suppose to be 5.56.
So headed to Dick's to pick up some Winchester White Box, 45apc-100ct and was buy one and the next at 50%. They had raised the price from 41+ to 51+ dollars a box since last week. I went to Wal-Mart and spent my money, 35 and change for the same thing. I won't be going back there.
If you havn't read "Gun Grab Descent Into Anarchy" it is a must read for those who want to know what can happen. Buy used for a better price. Warning! It will make you very POed. It is also why I renewed my NRA membership.
