I have a friend who is a prior VA resident. His father, who also lives in VA, gave him a handgun a couple years back. The transfer was not conducted via FFL - pretty much just word-of-mouth. He left it in his fathers possession....and fast-forward to today, he wants to bring it into MD. I told...
Brought my dad to 2A to get his first handgun(s). In two weeks, he should take possession of a very beautiful S&W 327 and Glock 17. He's looking forward to it & was very pleased with the transaction.
Thanks again to the 2A staff & Mark!
I'm looking for opportunities outside of MD...ideally Texas or Colorado, but open to other areas (except any area north of PA & west of CO). I have ~8 yrs exp. doing software development & clearance w\ all the tickets, etc...
I've already been on some job boards, just figured I'd see if...
I've thought this through...every angle (including providing a safe). My potential places out of state are good. Just seeking clarification on long-term storage out of state.
Been working on that for close to 2 years. When a good opportunity pops up, I'll be a resident elsewhere, ASAP.
I've done the google...but can't seem to find the specific answer to my question. So...I'm exploring options if/when this POS state decides 4A means nothing after they drop a giant deuce on the 2A.
I have family in TX and WV - are there legal issues if I stored some of my evil possessions out...
typical knee-jerk reaction
I like how the petition mentions "laws that regulates how a citizen obtains a gun" - isn't that the case now?
I'm so tired of that term "assault weapon". What's the difference between a weapon & an assault weapon? Does a standard weapon have less assault capabilities?
Took the wifey to 2A to get an early b-day present today...she wanted a firearm in her name & I wanted an excuse to figure out what I want next.
There must be something in those donuts. I tried to get a feel for what she thought about getting another scary rifle on the way home...and she...
Long story short, I don't have the best guns to shoot when it comes to ammo prices. I contemplated getting some reloading gear...but there was a spot in my safe that looked lonely. I figured a 9mm would be a bit easier on the wallet for ammo, so I picked this up:
It shoots great! I love...
Sounds like you picked up a gem too - that happens to be on my bucke...err, guncket list. For whatever reason, I've had the 1911 bug & couldn't shake it. Wife wasn't pleased, though...and my lift-kit fund is gone. :lol2:
I went in to buy some ammo last week and somehow walked out with a receipt for a lightly used Springfield 1911 TRP. It was a bit busy in there today, but everyone was patient & I got to sit there daydreaming of what my next purchase may be...hopefully one of the AR's off the back wall. I think...
Awesome :D
I think I'm gonna give another donation to MSI this weekend.
My week will be perfect if I find out Frosh or O'Malley went to get tums to settle their heartburn over this...only to find out there's no relief :D
FWIW, the Sun is part of the anti-2A movement. Their bias is tried and blue...anything from them is less than objective.
Now...if the poll ends in favor of today's decision, I'll be impressed! :party29:

Respectfully disagree - I'm no "Paul bot", but I do agree with a lot of what he says. I'm not 100% on board with some of his foreign policy and drug positions, but I don't think he's all that far off.
RP may be out of sync with the present conservative base...but I...
