One of the shooters suggested that if we keep track of the shots in sequence per shooter (easy to do) then that shooter could be "sponsored" by anyone to fire one or more shots. The shot would be owned by the sponsor.

Yes, the carbine stuff is typically CQB distance. Even pistol caliber is fine.
If we set CQB scenarios up some guys actually run them with a suppressed pistol and do pretty good.
Precision is full distance out to the far steel at 637Y.
